sewing machine motor sounding but arm not going up and down?
My sewing machine needed a new foot pedal after smoke coming from it. I have a universal one for singer machine. The problem is that when I press the foot I hear the motor working but the arm is not going up and down. Even when I spin the side wheel it will still not go up and down. I have checked and it is wired up correctly. Any suggestions. Thanks
Has the new foot pedal ever worked?
If the handwheel has a center knob, is it tight?
Is there a bobbin winder that should be disengaged for the machine to sew?
