Is there a good website out there to guide me through making my own clothing?
I'm quite a big girl, and I want to have a go at making my own clothes.. but I'm a total novice, I wouldn't know where to start. A website or something that shows me patterns for making tops, skirts, pants etc would be wonderful, then I can add my own flare to my designs. 
I don't think there's one website out there that is going to have all the answers, but probably if you're a novice, you might want to start out by buying plain shirts or something, and adding your own embellishments or fabric or florals or whatever you're going to do to them. I'm a pretty novice sewer myself, I do blankets and that kind of thing, but totally feel out of place doing clothing! It's hard to get the shapes right, the lengths, the seaming and tucks in all the right places without it looking "homemade". But I love taking something already made, like a plain shirt, and then adding additional fabric for stripes, flowers, designs, even using fabric paint. I google the topic that i want to do on that one particular piece of clothing, and there's a lot of crafty blogs out there that I get ideas from. Good luck!!
