Bridesmaid dress location Nightmare!
If you are anything like me then choosing your bridesmaid dress is a very important part of the planning that went into my wedding and I wanted the dresses to look great, fit into my budget and be comfortable for the girls to wear. Although it may sound easy, the actual choosing of the Bridesmaid dresses is a nightmare.
I spoke with many bridesmaid dress makers and it soon became very obvious to me that these people can only really make bridesmaid dresses if you supply the pattern and the material. They don't really offer much else in the way of design advice that we so badly needed and I was greeted with blank stares when I asked what sort of design would suit our wedding plans and colors.
So off I went to try and find fabric for the bridesmaid dresses, designer patterns with the style I wanted and some advice on what we should use in the wedding colors.
It was not too long before my brain was in total overload and i was getting very confused trying to see what dresses will work, be comfortable and also look amazing.
I got fed up with thumbing through thousands of patterns and magazines and the more I tried the more upset and stressed I became. I was surrounded by material samples, patterns, magazines, wedding books and so on until I could not take it anymore. Day became night and night became day……..and I realised that there had to be a better way to buy bridesmaid dresses

Tip No 1 for sourcing wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses.
1. Decide early on what fabric you will use based on the season and the type of wedding. At My wedding we had to walk a way from the car to the actual location of the ceremony and I needed to be able to move well plus the bridesmaids also needed to be able to move comfortably.
2. Speak with the wedding dress designer to see what is the best fabric for your requirements. Do you want to resell the wedding dress or do you want to keep it for ever as a momento of your special day? Fabric quality and type is important and affects the prices you will pay for both the wedding dress and the bridesmaid dresses.
3. Do you want any harmony between the wedding dresses and the bridesmaids dresses. Any common design theme such as the same pleats or the like in thebridesmaids dresses.
Decide on these things early on in the wedding planning and your wedding will be a much happier day for you.
